About Me

As the story goes...I found out I had gestational diabetes while pregnant with my second son.  After denial and frustration passed I wanted to connect with others and learn all I could about being a diabetic. Some things had to go and some things needed to change.

One thing I soon realized was the black nylon bag that came with my glucose meter had to go. I tried gluing gems and glitter to it...that didn't work. I tried sewing pretty fabric to it...that too didn't work.  I then hunted online to find something that fit my personality, colorful and upbeat, and stylishly functional.  When my search came back with navy blue as an option I was crushed. 

It was then that I decided to just make my own. I dusted off my sewing machine and put together a red leather and polka dot bag. It instantly made me feel good about carrying around my d-goodies.  When I took pictures of it and asked others what they thought, overwhelmingly the feedback was very positive. The entrepreneurial flame began to flicker.  

Within 2 months I had my first collection made and available for others to enjoy. Now several years later and still pluggin' along, I hope to continue bringing fresh, modern original designs to anyone who like me didn't want to settle for just black and blue.

While the rest is no where history, it is my hope that in the coming years I can continue to bring upbeat, functional designs that anyone who appreciates color can enjoy!
